Vortex by Mary Jo Allen is a monochrome flower portrait. I took the color out in order to emphasize the complex swirling and curling patterns of the petals. Put this in a black frame and watch it pop. If you don't care for frames then Vortex would be wonderful on a metal print.

Hello and thanks for stopping by. My photography is a gift to you. It represents my way of finding beauty in the world and bringing it to you. I've been a professional photographer for 30+ years. My degree is in microbiology and I did research work in that field for 3 years which sounds glamourous and exciting but in reality I found it to be repetitive and uninspiring.
