Description
In the midst of the rolling hills of the Palouse country is Steptoe Butte rising over 3,500 feet above the wheat fields. It's been said that you can see 200 miles from the top. The nearest town is also known as Steptoe, Washinton. It is nestled in the rolling hills of wheat and other crops. You can clearly read the words Whitman County Growers on the grain elevator in this amazing photograph. The late afternoon sunlight creates wonderful designs in this composition.
