"Barcelona Nightscape" by Mona Edulesco.
Modern impressionist stylized cityscape impasto palette knife oil painting 24x30 cm (10x12 inches). I painted this work in impasto technique, rendered in a stylized manner, with thick textures of oil paint applied with brushes and palette knives.
The painting captures a view of Barcelona from Park Guell, overlooking the city rooftops by night, all bathed in the light of a magic moon. I also realized a watercolor painting of the same scene, as a commission for an art collector from Luxembourg.
The original oil painting has been sold to an art collector from Glasgow, Scotland - U.K.
